Drowning is the #1 cause of preventable death for kids ages 1 to 4, and #2 cause for kids ages 15 to 19. Let’s put an end to it.
It’s called “the two spikes of drowning” — and it’s a leading killer of our kids in this country. When you plot the number of drownings in the United States on a graph by age group — a pattern emerges. A perfect “X”. Here at The LV Project, we call it “The X Effect.” Our littles are at greatest risk of drowning in pools. And our bigs are at greatest risk of drowning in open water. We aim to put an end to it. The bottom line is this: Connor didn’t have to die on August 31, 2012… it was 100% preventable. We tell our story — and so many others like ours — so it won’t become YOUR story. So when you think about drowning, remember the “X”. We love our littles. We love our bigs. Protect them both.
Water safety is lifelong. All ages. All water. Always.
On behalf of The LV Project and the Gage family, thanks for honoring Connor.
The LV Project is all about BUOYANCY. During swim season, we focus on drowning prevention projects.
The rest of the year, we shift to projects that help people LiVe a buoyant life.
Here's a look at our projects so far. You make it possible. We're grateful.
